Eurocardan for the environment

PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEM

Eurocardan has a photovoltaic system that generates an average annual producibility of 1250 kWh, which means 1,131,250 kWh every year.
The system contributes almost 50% of Eurocardan's energy needs.

Environmental monitoring

As per the regulations in force on environment protection and health and safety in the workplace, periodical environmental sampling is performed, through accredited laboratories, in order to monitor the emissions inside the production plant (oil mist, inhalable dust, equipment noise) and those in the atmosphere (welding, painting, phosphate degreasing chimneys). The collection and disposal of all hazardous and non-hazardous industrial waste is entrusted to duly specialised and authorised companies.

Chemical Risk

The chemical substances introduced into the production plant are subjected to strict controls in accordance with the stringent legislative parameters on the subject and used in full compliance with the methods of use contained in the respective technical data sheets.

Oils

The coolant oils used in chip removal processes are free from boron and formaldehyde.

Filtration system

The filtration systems of the spray booths, in order to guarantee reduction of the volatile organic compounds (VOC) present in the high solid paints used, consist of a first filter in special paper which captures the excess paint by inertial effect, making them change direction four times and by a second pocket filter with high efficiency and increased filtering surface which breaks down the coarse particles of dust which has a bed of activated carbon which captures and retains gas molecules and other polluting substances inside them.

Paints

The paints used in the painting process are both water-soluble and with a high solids content, in order to guarantee low toxicity thanks to the reduced content of volatile organic compounds (SOV).
